Cheshire cricket club looking to raise money through a crowdfunding campaign to improve the club on and off the pitch

Sandbach Cricket Club has today launched a Crowdfunding campaign, to help raise money to replace their current practice nets.

The club is looking to raise £10,000 over the next month so they can get the new nets in place in time for the new season.

They’ve been at the heart of the local community since 1886, and this year for the first time have reached the top division of the North Staffs and South Cheshire League.

It’s a massive achievement, and they want to mark the occasion by improving the all aspects of the club.

While many will know the club for its cricketing, Sandbach also has a fantastic club house which is used by the community for all sorts of events – for example a weekly Disability Disco.

By raising this money and improving the standard of play on the pitch, Sandbach will look to improve the facilitates that the community can use too.

VideoHQ has helped this campaign by producing a fundraising video, which beams a quick, concise but powerful “pitch” for the cause directly to their audience.

We’ve also made it easy to engage with and share on social media by splitting the video into shorter clips, helping to maintain interest over a longer campaign.

We’ve worked with Andrew Heaward from Heaward Solutions, and Nigel Howle from Howle Communications on this campaign. Andrew provides the expertise on running and maintaining a campaign, and crafting the message; while Nigel helps to reach out to local and specialist media to get the campaign a bigger audience.
