Project Description

New promotional film for Stoke-on-Trent business Valcato Entertainment, who provide dazzling shows nationwide

If you’ve seen a tribute artist in the past few years, chances are you’ve seen one of the performers from Valcato Entertainment; a Stoke-on-Trent entertainment business based in Burslem.

They’ve become particularly famous for their incredible Spice Girls, Ariana Grande, and Little Mix acts.

But not content with putting on amazing shows themselves, they also offer their skills to organisations like holiday parks on a consultancy basis, to help them to make their shows amazing too.

VideoHQ were brought in to make an all singing and dancing promotional film for their Bespoke Production Consultancy.

What was the filming process like?

At the pre-production meeting with Jay and Vicky, I learned that there are loads of different services they can offer in the consultancy – such as casting, song design, and choreography.

However, Jay said what really sets Valcato apart is that they have an in-house audio visual team.

For the filming day, I arranged to do interviews with Jay and Vicky so they could promote the service themselves, and get their personalities across to potential customers.

We also arranged for one of their show teams to be on site for the day, so we could illustrate the quality of their performances, and the various services on offer.

Although I already had a very solid idea of what to film, I made sure to record the interviews first, so that I knew exactly what cutaways to film to illustrate their best point.

All in all, it was a very exciting day – and I had ‘Rain on Me’ by Lady GaGa and Ariana Grande stuck in my head for about a month afterwards!

What was the editing process like?

I produced two videos for Valcato Entertainment: a little website header video, and the full Bespoke Production Consultancy promotional video.

The two interviews recorded formed the main structure of the promotional video, with shots of the performers overlaid on top of the interview to illustrate what was being said.

Valcato Entertainment is a really dynamic company to work with and be around, so I really wanted to get that across in the video; using fast pacing, funky music and cool animations to really get that across.

It’s always different working with company who really knows their stuff with video production, as I knew they’d already have a strong idea in their head on what they thought the finished video should look like.

But due to the intense pre-production process, the messaging was right and they were really happy with the first draft. It was just little tweaks on things like animations to get it fully in line with their vision.

With all of my videos, a set of revisions is included in the price, so you’ve always got the opportunity to make sure the video is exactly what you want.
